Mission: Chapter III: The Hunt is On
Location: Renee's Quarters, I.R.W. Ourainavassa
Timeline: 238701.23

After meeting with Ash and later Hatham, Renee couldn't believe that she is once again involved with some high stakes operation with her ex. When they ran into each other a few days ago, she was completely taken aback... she thought she was over Ashley Rogers, but the assassin kept creeping into her mind. She knew she needed a distraction, so she opened a communications channel. "Hey, Xia. What are you up to? You want to come over?"

Xia closed up the access panel to the comm station and straightened up. “Are you sure you can handle me again?” she replied to Renee. “I mean, I left you practically drooling and brain dead from pleasure last time,” she reminded with a laugh. “I’ll be over.”

Renee changed into something more comfortable -- and easier to remove -- as she relaxed on her couch, recalling their first night together. She smiled at the memory as she loosened her robe just a little.

Xia didn’t waste time, already removing her clothes before the door even swished clothes behind her. She extended her hand, and a kind of...force ripped the robe right off of Renee as Xia closed in for an aggressive kiss, her mind already slipping into Renee’s to establish the telepathic link that would enhance the night’s pleasure for the both of them.

Renee welcomed Xia back into her mind and body and let herself be consumed by the heightened sensations. This was everything she needed... and more.

Renee found herself blissfully lying in bed as Xia was in the shower when the door to her quarters chimed. She furrowed her brow at the unexpected interruption as she put on a robe. Still in a mental haze from the activities of the night before, she didn't really think about who would be paying her a visit at this hour. It wasn't until the chime rang again and Renee opened the door that she realized who would be impatiently ringing her door bell in the morning. Shit!

Ashley Rogers. Holding a bottle of expensive alcohol that who knows how she came into possession of.

"Hey," Ash said meekly as she mindlessly walked into Renee's quarters, almost like it was autopilot from a habit years in the making. "I came bearing a gift, a welcome aboard, if you will. I know... this... isn't ideal for both of us, and especially me asking you for help with Hatham and the Romulans on board."

Renee just looked at Ash numbly, tightening her robe. She didn't even invite her in, yet here she was standing in her quarters rambling. Renee knew Ash well enough to know this was as awkward for her as it was for Renee. Ash Rogers may be one of the Section's deadliest assassins, but outside of that, she was not nearly as much of a bad ass as she portrayed herself to be.

"So here. I know this doesn't make everything better or okay, but...peace offering?" Ash said as she handed the bottle to Renee. It wasn't until then that she realized that Renee was naked under her robe, a sight that brought back some very pleasant memories of their shared past. And the sound of a shower... and someone in it... oh...

Ash averted her eyes. Renee was her own person. They weren't together anymore. She had every right to...

"Thank you, but this really isn't a good time,” Renee finally spoke as the shower stopped.

Xia emerged from the bathroom, completely naked, wrapping her thick black hair into a towel over her head, revealing the strange tattoo of three wavy lines in a circle on the back of her neck. A bit of water still glistened on her perfect skin. She met Ash’s eyes and raised an eyebrow.

“Like what you see?” Xia queried, not at all seeming ashamed at having been caught out naked. She was Betazoid, after all.

Ash's eyes went wide as she realized who was in the shower.

Renee blushed. "I assume you two know each other?"

Xia smirked. “Well, we do work together, so I would hope so. We don’t know each other quite this well, though. Is she joining us for round four?” Xia asked Renee, tossing away the towel, her wet hair cascading down her back.

Ash glared at Xia, not sure where the anger was coming from. Neither Xia nor Renee had done anything wrong. If anything, this entire situation was her fault. She walked out on Renee, she disappeared from their life together. And yet she was the one feeling angry when it's clear that her right to do so was forfeited the night she left her fiance. "Round... four?" she said through gritted teeth.

Renee looked at Ash, suddenly feeling very self conscious and also very unhappy with Ash right now. She can tell from her body language that the assassin was displeased with her and Xia. How dare Ash presume that she could place judgement on two consenting adults? "Yes, Ash. Round four,” she said as she stepped towards the still very naked Xia and wrapped her arm around her very naked waist. "And maybe rounds 5... 6... 7..."

Ash looked at Renee and then at Xia. Any other time she might actually be impressed with how... aesthetically pleasing the woman was, but not now. She clenched her jaw and tightened her fists/ If looks could kill crossed her mind. She kept trying to tell herself with the rational part of her mind that there is no rational reason for her to feel this way. Renee deserved to be happy, and she definitely seemed to be enjoying herself with Xia. She'd moved on. Time to accept that. Actions have consequences... and so does inaction.

Xia frowned, sensing Ash’s anger and...jealousy? And Renee’s...smugness? And anger. “Wait,” Xia said, delicately extracting herself from Renee’s arms. “I somehow stepped into the middle of something here, didn’t I?” she asked, looking between Ash and Renee.

As Ash glared at the both of them, unable to formulate a thought that didn't involve irrational emotions, Renee looked at Xia and sighed. "Remember my ex?" and who I was thinking about at the poker game... "Ashley Rogers," she introduced Ash meekly. "And there is no middle of anything. We are no longer together, and haven't been for a long time, isn't that right, Ash?"

Ash was still struggling to reign in all of the feelings swirling in her. She took a breath and spoke in a very controlled cadence. "That's... right... I should leave. You two have fun. Enjoy the booze."

“And here I thought you were thinking of me during the game,” Xia told Renee with a smile. She sensed the emotions bouncing between the two women. “You don’t need to go, Ash,” the Betazoid said. “I was serious. If you wanted to join us.” She glanced at Renee. “But that’s between you two.” She held her hands up and went over to drape herself over the bed invitingly.

Ash's eyes narrowed at what Xia said about what Renee was thinking about during a game, and practically growled in annoyance. "I'm not even going to ask what she meant by that," she told Renee.

Renee glared back at Ash, seething. "You don't get to do that, Ash. I can do whatever -- and whoever -- I want. We are over. You made sure of that. Now thank you for the gift. You can leave now."

Ash opened her mouth to try to say something, but there was nothing to be said. There was no winning this conversation. No tactical value in having the last word. She nodded silently as she turned and left.

Renee watched the door close and took a deep breath to calm herself before turning back to Xia, who was looking quite alluring on the bed. "I hope you're not disappointed, but she won't ever be welcome on this bed. Now where were we?" she said as she climbed onto the bed.

Xia smiled and dug out a set of leather wrapped cuffs. “I believe it was your turn,” she said, securing her arms to the bed. “I’m at your mercy.”

Renee smirked as she looked at how helpless Xia was underneath her. After what just happened with Ash, she was glad Xia stayed, this is exactly what she needed. Renee tightened the cuffs just a little bit more, "Damn right you are..."
