General Overview Like most Romulans, Areinnye is duty-minded, not prone to sharing information, and has a strong sense of morality. That morality would be questionable by most races.

Personal History Areinnye was born in 2349 to a naval and ship-building family. Her father was the Commander of a scout vessel which has been listed as missing since 2353. Her mother and maternal family raised him. Areinnye’s maternal grandfather is the head of the famed Tal’ari shipyards, birthplace of the D’deridex class. Recently with the upheaval in the Alpha and Beta quadrants, Tal’ari’s once great warbird has been rendered obsolete, and are being steadily phased out and replaced with the much-touted Norexan class.
D’deridex class vessels now enter the shipyards regularly for decommissioning.

Entering the Navy training program with excellent test scores and a good word from her grandfather, Areinnye trained and was eventually accepted as a member of the Tal Prai’ex.

As an officer on the RSN D’jhaen she worked her way from a tactical officer on third shift to first tactical officer. Then first officer aboard the Praetor’s diplomatic barge, Rhiannon. At age 33, she was given command of her own vessel, the RSN Dominus.

Areinnye is Commander in the Tal Prai’ex, the Praetorian Guard. As such, he follows the normal chain of command of the Romulan Star Navy, however her orders can be countermanded by any ranking member of the Imperial household or the Praetor. In addition, she is expected to give regular intel updates to the Praetor.

The Praetor recently ordered Commander Areinnye to scout four class M planets outside Romulan territory, citing the excuse of a vacation planet for the Imperial household and visiting Senators. The obvious reality is that the Praetor was looking for a safe haven for the high ranking of Romulus.

Reaching the first planet, Areinnye and her crew discovered it was being colonized by the Gorn Hegemony. The second was subject to strong seismic activity, causing earthquakes and tsunamis which would make colonization a difficult and dangerous prospect. The third planet was habitable, but a largely desert planet not unlike Vulcan. It would require heavy amounts of terraforming to make comfortable. The fourth planet was most suited to colonization. It was a lush tropical environment with polar ice caps, exotic flora and fauna, and was far enough away to be likely unaffected by the events of romulan society.
