Personal History In the 2360s, Section 31 hatched a plan to create loyal, elite human foot soldiers. Carefully selected genetic profiles were stolen from the Starfleet database to create the perfect children.

One of the resulting children was Juno, who was born in August 2368. A combination of the genetic profiles of Lieutenant Dagny Ambrose and Commander Matthew Hawkins. Neither knew of their daughter's existence. She would be raised, initially, in a safe, loving home. At five, Juno was told her parents died just after she was born. In reality, they never existed. From the age of eleven, Juno commenced a rigorous physical training programme. At sixteen, she was selected for elite combat training led by an operative named Exelby. Exelby was authoritarian, sadistic. Any form of failure resulted in harsh punishment.

In 2386, as part of Section 31's plan, Juno and her peers were enrolled into Starfleet Academy. After discovering the truth, Juno and several of her peers decided to bring down the operation. Even if it cost them their lives. They felt their sacrifice would be worth it to prevent others facing the same fate. In the carefully, discreetly formulated plan, Juno was assigned Exelby. When the day came, Juno took great pleasure in using everything Exelby had taught her against him. With Section 31 now likely to hunt her, her peers down, they fled across the Galaxy.

After discovering her ancestry, Juno adopted the surname Langley in honour of ancestor Captain Beatrice Langley.
